Taiwanese-Canadian artist Lichia Liu has always been inspired by people interacting with their environments. Trained as an urban and landscape designer, her ink-and-watercolour illustrations aim to capture the essence of place and time. 

Lichia's sketchbook habit is a powerful force behind her creativity, and she prefers to paint on-site as much as possible. She is a member of the Urban Sketchers network.

Under the brand Gotamago, Lichia’s illustrations have been translated into popular home and stationery products for over a decade.

Lichia currently lives in Toronto with her partner, kids, and Frida the dog.
